The Italian Wine Academy is situated in Verona, with satellites sites across Italy. We provide internationally recognized wine training courses to students from all over the world.
The Academy is part of Mamma Jumbo Shrimp, the wine communication and promotion agency created by Stevie Kim. Founded in 2017, the Italian Wine Academy provides internationally recognized wine training courses, including the prestigious WSET certification and the certified Champagne Specialist Course.
The philosophy of the Italian Wine Academy is to unlock the door to the wine sector in an effective and inclusive way, welcoming wine students from around the world. Our students include professionals from the wine trade, hospitality, media, and passionate wine lovers of all experience levels. We continually add to our curriculum with new and specialized courses focusing on specific regions and topics.
Our Educators are experienced professionals with many years of teaching and working in the international wine sector. We have both English and Italian mother-tongue speakers guiding and supporting our students through the complex study of wine.
The primary goal of the Italian Wine Academy is to encourage our students to engage with the world of wine in a setting that is welcoming, free from intimidation, and 100% focused on providing the best academic materials to ensure our students are comfortable, excited, and successful in their studies.
