A word from the Managing Director

Promoting the value and uniqueness of Champagne has been one of our fundamental missions for many years. Since its creation more than 80 years ago, the Comité Champagne has been involved in training initiatives, particularly in France, Great Britain, the United States and Belgium.

Today, the Comité Champagne and its eight Bureaux around the world train thousands of professionals and future professionals every year, both face-to-face and online.

The Comité Champagne occupies a special place in the world of wine education. Because our content is the result of a consensus between all the people of Champagne, following our courses guarantees a holistic vision of Champagne.

Who are our courses aimed at?

Our training courses are aimed primarily at all professionals or future professionals who buy, sell or advise on Champagne wines: wine shop staff, restaurateurs, sommeliers, barmen, buyers, salespeople, importers, exporters, hoteliers, tourist guides, etc. They are also suitable for people working in wine or Champagne production who would like a more comprehensive knowledge of Champagne wines. To guarantee high-quality training provided by qualified professionals, the Comité Champagne carefully selects its partner centres in France and abroad. We only work with recognised centres with objective and enthusiastic staff. Many of these centres also offer courses run by the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET).
